The story behind
the moments.

The School of Advocacy and Research successfully hosted its conference, “The Echoing Voice of Resistance: Sayyida Bibi Zainab (SA) and the Philosophy of Shahadah.”

The conference explored the extraordinary role of Sayyida Bibi Zainab (SA) in preserving the message of Karbala and highlighted the central role of women in shaping history, safeguarding truth, and standing against oppression.

One of the key messages of the event was that women’s empowerment is not a modern concept imposed upon Islam. Rather, it is deeply rooted within Islamic teachings and traditions.

From the earliest days of Islam, women were granted dignity, rights, agency, and a respected place in society.

The life and legacy of Sayyida Bibi Zainab (SA) stand as a powerful testament to the strength, leadership, courage, and resilience that Islam recognizes and encourages in women.

At a time when misconceptions often portray Islam as limiting women, the example of Karbala reminds us that Muslim women have long been active participants in preserving faith, defending justice, strengthening families, and shaping communities.
